Technically speaking, the SFTARC’s 2024 Morse Code classes were completed on Saturday, February 24th. In reality--the learning of the Morse code never stops.
SFTARC on the Prairie

KRØUT Provided the Radio for the 40m Station and Operated SSB
Gusty winds, 90+ degree temperatures and deteriorated ionospheric propagation made the May 6th POTA operation from the National Tallgrass Prairie Preserve a bit of a challenge at times. In spite of the challenges, SFTARC members made about 85 contacts from this historic site in the Flint Hills of Kansas, just north of Strong City.
Club Well Represented at Hambash

At least 16 members of the club found their way to the Ararat Shrine Activity Center in Kansas City, Mo., the morning of Saturday, April 15, for Hambash 2023, which was hosted by the Ararat Shrine Amateur Radio Club.
President Jeff Darby, KSØJD, former President Greg Wolfe, KIØKK, Secretary-Treasurer Marty Peters, KEØPEZ, and Howard Cripe, NØAZ, manned the two tables the club had reserved for the event. They were used to display both various items associated with Ensor Park and Museum and an array of items that were for sale.

I have asked our embroiderer to provide a selection of jackets as well as an approximate price. Please review the selections below. Also take into account this price is for a one off. If we can contain our selections to one type or brand we might get a break on shipping and a discount. There maybe be charges for shipping and the embroidery as well. Club Achieves a Kansas First

The Santa Fe Trail Amateur Radio Club, the first amateur radio club in Kansas to attain Special Service Club status, was recognized as such the morning of Saturday, July 9, at Perkins Restaurant in Gardner.
Ron Cowan, KBØDTI, Kansas section manager for the American Radio Relay League, did the honors, presenting Jeff Darby, KSØJD, the club president, with a certificate designating the club as an ARRL Special Service Club during the club's monthly business meeting at the restaurant.
