Blue Parrott C400-XT Bluetooth Headset
- Details
- Written by: Tom Apalenek - WA2IVD
If you're looking for a headset for zoom meetings or for use with radios that support Bluetooth, this is a great choice. It has a single ear piece so you can still hear what's going on around you. The audio you hear in the earpiece is crisp and clear. It also has a noise cancelling microphone that is very effective. I use this headset with my phone on conference calls, with my computer on zoom and other video meetings and also with my Anytone D878 Plus. It pairs easily with all of them. I consistently get good audio reports and I've been in some pretty noisy environments and people tell me they just hear me with no background noise. You can check it out here: https://www.blueparrott.com/on-the-road-headsets/blueparrott-c400-xt#
They have other models if you don't like this style. I haven't used the other models, but I have heard good reports about the other models too. You can find them from multiple sources online. You can also find them in Loves and Pilot truck stops.

Youtube by A Wolke - W2AEW,
Building upon the lessons in videos #274 and #275, this video describes how to design a 2-element L-Network to create an impedance match to the desired system impedance using series and shunt (parallel) inductors and capacitors. The design process is described, and then actual matching results are measured using a Smith Chart on a VNA. PDF of the show notes:

This introductory video describes how complex impedance and admittance are represented on the Smith Chart, and how to convert between them. A VNA is used to illustrate the complex impedance representation on a live smith chart with variable resistive and reactive components.
