We started our outdoor summer events with the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve POTA and then Ensorfest26 on May 9th, which was another huge success, with even more attendance than last year. SFTARC volunteers helped with cleanup activities the prior week and staffed hosting positions around the museum as well as enjoying the wide range of events throughout the day.
Next up, I hope many of you will take time to participate in Field Day activities June 26th through the 28th (also at Ensor Park and Museum). Field Day is a great opportunity to learn about emergency preparedness, interesting antennas you might not be able to put up at home, deployment of our tower-trailer, generators, and transceivers, as well as making radio contacts across the USA and usually to many other countries.
Tech Night on May 29th has been reserved for everyone to join in and find out about and plan field day activities.
