John Rodgers, KGØUA, 87, became a Silent Key on December 9, 2020.
Funeral service of KC Cremations provided his funeral arrangements. Inurnment will take place in Baxter Springs, KS, at a later date.
To say John loved Amateur Radio would be an understatement. He worked all the contests he could winning several shown by the certificates hung on his shack walls. Until his health started to fail, John participated in all the Santa Fe Trail ARC and Kansas City DX club events. Field Day was his favorite where he was at home using the Morse code, his favorite mode. John loved DXing too. He was excited to receive QSL cards from around the world, and several DXpeditions. One of his most favorite DXpedition QSL card was from Peter I island, Antarctica. John will be greatly missed by both, his family, and his Amateur Radio family. 73, SK.
