On January 5th, 2024, NBC's Today Show featured a segment showcasing an ISS contact from Harborcreek High School in Harborcreek, PA. Journalist Harry Smith and a camera crew from the Today Show traveled to the school to video the contact and interview the people involved. The entire setup for the contact, including radios, antennas, and other infrastructure was assembled by the students. Every student who asked a question of the astronauts was a licensed amateur. After the segment at the school, the Today Show hosts talk about the importance of amateur radio in our society.
It's a great watch!
