Special operating event one mile north of Strong City, KS.

For those who want to be part of the core group that convoys down to Strong City, the proposed timeline is below.  Anyone who wants to sleep in a bit and drive down on their own is welcome to do so on their own schedule.

Timeline:

1. 5:50 am, I-35 Exit 207, south Gardner, meet at the Philips 66 Station on the NW corner of the intersection and form carpools

1. Talk-in 145.470 MHz repeater

2. 6:00, Depart Gardner

1. Convoy Freq 146.550 MHz simplex

3. Stop for a breakfast at Beto Junctions or Emporia
4. 8:30 Expected arrival at Tallgrass
5. The goal is to be on the air at 10:00
6. Operate until 2 or 3 pm
7. Tear down 1 hr
8. Return trip with perhaps an ice-cream stop 2 hrs

The plan is to have three HF stations on the air:

1. Two SSB stations
2. One CW station
3. Each station has a laptop with N3FJP AC Log SW
4. The Tallgrass will provide the tables and chairs
