The SFTARC held its monthly meeting on December 1, 2018. President Jeff Darby, KE0CAZ, called the meeting to order at 7:30 AM.

Members and guests introduced themselves. There were 18 members and 1 guest present.

SECRETARY-TREASURER'S REPORT

Marty, KE0PEZ, reported debits and credits to the club checking account during the month and the current balance. Kansas QSO Party T-shirts have all been distributed and money collected. Bob Harder has sent a final bill for the T-shirts delivered to the club members who participated.

A review of the club Constitution and By-laws is in progress. Jim AC0KN volunteered to join Jeff, Larry, Marty, and Greg in the review.

Marty reported on the tax status. Although we are registered as a non-for-profit corporation in the State of Kansas, our non-profit status with the IRS was revoked in 2013. We can regain tax-exempt status by submitting the necessary application.

Marty continues to update the club membership list.

Del's Edgerton Property

Construction of a 175’ antenna is in progress. We should park the trailer so that the solar panels get a reasonable amount of sunlight.

NEW BUSINESS:

Interclub Event

Joe is working to organize an interclub event that would be in a picnic format in about April, 2019. He envisions an HF antenna competition to see which team could best meet requirements of safety, ease of erecting, and HF results. He estimates 10-12 clubs would be interested in participating in this picnic event.

ADJOURN

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at about 8:00am.
